Website Reviews for Your Business

Each business nowadays wants to have a website.  A strong website presence to announce the services the business provides, hours of operation, method of payments, directions and how to do business.   Really, you could think of a website as being a “business catalog”.  Whereas, in the past, you would receive many catalogs in the mail which showed the businesses product offerings, hours, how to order and so forth – much of this is done online now with websites.

Believe it or not – there are still many hundreds of thousands of businesses that don’t have “web presence”.   They truly are missing out on a lot of opportunities as they are not being found by the masses who search online for the goods or services they are looking for.   Many people believe it’s just far too expensive to hire a company to build a website – which just simply isn’t true.  There are simple 1 page websites which many times is all a business needs – to massive large database driven websites that have tons of information and perform functions that a smaller website would not.

Besides having a website for your business you will want to consider “search engine optimization” which – in a nutshell – is about “being found” on the internet for your goods, products or services.   Don’t sign up for some expensive monthly “seo fee” until you know what you are doing.  Study the SEO topic for awhile on the internet so that you have an understanding of what you are paying for.   Is it important – yes it is.  But, make sure you spend your money wisely and get what you are paying for.   Otherwise, not only might you throw away a lot of hard earned money – you might also end up with lousy results, which, of course, is not what you are after.

Oakley Business Listings

Oakley CA is located near the base of Mt Diablo in the 94561 Zip Code area.   Brentwood is right next door to the South and Antioch is to the West.  Oakley is centrally located between the Stockton area of the Central Valley to the East and San Francisco Bay Area to the West.   Like Brentwood – it is also a farming community.  You might not think so driving thru parts of it as it now has so many housing tracts – both new and older homes.  But, it really isn’t hard to miss all the grape vines and farms in the area.

Here is the City of Oakley website from which you can gain much information regarding living and doing business in Oakley.  www.ci.oakley.ca.us/

Oakley has access to the Delta at the local Marinas – very convenient, of course, for easy access to go fishing or water sports on the very famous California Delta waterway system.

The Big Break Shoreline is a real nice area to picnic and walk along the shoreline.  You can find out more information about the Big Break Park here at this website:  Big Break Regional Shoreline

Currently, the downtown streets are being remodeled and angled parking is being added.  The newly expanded La Costa restaurant which was already a “favorite” now is doing quite brisk business with the expanded indoor seating area.  La Costa is situated right next to the new Carpaccio Ristorante and soon the anchor store “Ace Hardware” will be moving in – and the remainder of the shopping center will be remodeled and will be quite nice. (It already is).   Just across the street is Black Bear Diner (Have you tried their bakery section yet? Yummy) and the Oakley City Hall.

If you have recently moved to Oakley or are a current resident and need to have your home painted you will, of course, want to look up the local Oakley Painting Contractors and ask for a free estimate.

The City of Brentwood CA

Brentwood, CA

Located right at the base of Mt. Diablo, East of  San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Concord and Danville.   To the South over Vasco road is Livermore.  Stockton and San Joaquin County is the the West and Solano County (Vacaville, Fairfield) is North of Brentwood.   Discovery Bay is nearby.   As of 2010 the population was 51,481 which is a fairly large increase of 220 percent since the census of 2000 when it was 23,302.

For many years going back into the 19th century Brentwood was known for it’s farming community.  Cherries, Corn and Peaches were and are still grown in the region and there are plenty of vegetable and fruit stands lining the roads in the summer time to buy fresh produce.  Or, you can pick your own from several local farms.   Besides being able to purchase from local fruit stands or produce stands – each week Brentwood (on Saturday’s) hosts an open air farmers market with locally grown produce.   Also, it’s a nice time to take a walk around downtown Brentwood – listen to music and visit the local restaurants.

In the afternoon on a hot day take a trip on the Delta with a boat for fishing or water skiing or simply go to the City Aquatic Center Park for a dip in the community pool.  One of the pools as there are a few of them.    In fact, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the spacious park and don’t forget to bring your skateboards while you are at it.
